Up for your consideration is all the components removed from a 1949 Ford/Mercury Flat Head V8 engine intended to be used to power a boat.
Here is the story as known, in 1949 a Ford/Mercury Flat Head V8 8BA engine was purchased new from Ford/Mercury w/ the intent of building a boat to put it in. The boat however was never completed.
I purchased the engine complete w/ the intent to put the engine in a street rod.
I have no need for the components such as wet manifolds, water pumps, water pump adaptors, FWD/REV/NEUTRAL box, flywheel, hoses etc.
The components never say service and thus are like new.
I will supply photos of the components before removed from the engine to assist in the installation on another engine.
The drive uses a standard Flathead Ford or Mercury starter. (Not included)
Below is a list of the components up for sale.
FWD/REV/NEUTRAL box: The Snow Nabstedt Gear Corp. Haden Conn. USA 3725 9 474559 The box appears to be new and has mounting supports, bell housing and shift handle.
Used Ford/Mercury flywheel: Starter teeth are in good condition.
New water pumps: One pump has this information, Jabsco Pump Co., Burbank Calif., 13S 3/8 Pat 2189356, Pats Pend.
The other pump has this information, OSCO Phila PA, 811 3/8 Pat 2188356, Pats Pend.
Both water pumps utilize the wide belt.
New water pump spacers: 2 pieces
New front water block off plates/motor mounts:2 pieces
New wet manifolds: OSCO V* PHPLA USA
Adaptors for water lines to cylinder heads: 2 pieces, these install where the water necks would be in an automobile installation.
Miscellaneous water hoses and tubes:
I am asking $350.00 for all the above.
