Hi .. When I looked at this boat The owner was not there .. But I did not see any I.D. on it any where , it is completely gutted and it is made of aluminum so what I am saying if it was not welded on it is not there... I looked in the normal spots where I.D. numbers go nothing... But as always I thought the owner would know ,,well thinking lead me astray .. like that never happens hehehe .. all he thought when he called was it was a old harbor boat , now that could be but at 30 ft (I have typo-ed this on other sites as 20 ft wrong _ give or take 6") questionable , no work area maybe as a small patrol boat .. so maybe a harbor patrol boat for the local Port authority ,, if it is from the local area it would have been the port of Sacramento or Stockton Ca. .But we all know that when boats in official capacity where decommissioned They either went to scrap or blew in the winds to places you would never expect them . So I did what I always do took the picks out to the sea scouts at the port and let the old timers look well lots of close ideas but nothing positive ..,., I had my laptop on line for them ,, Now there is a chance That it was made by one of the local boat Mfg which are all but gone for the most part .. But the more I look the more I here it calling ,me in the night. So more than likely will pick it in 7 or 8 days when I can get a trailer in to the swamp it is now in 4 days of rain here..... Yes it is 30.5 feet per my notes and a 7 ft or 8ft 2-5 beam Hard to do things in a light breeze by myself the owners son a teenager had walked off on me.. But I standby the size and it is made of aluminum and it is gutted ... I have 7 different sources of info such as this one and craigs list sending me all over the web..The truth is I WANT the Boat !! But my brain is saying not without knowledge of How what when what power plant was in it .This is a biggie to me . It is hard to solve a mystery without clues I would really kick myself for not picking it up but , I do not want a very shinny lawn ornament or to have to mow around it, not to speak of my loving wife may lose some of her patience and understanding with me I will admit I am a acquired taste and it is best to bend the envelope not blow through it , and last I do not want people pulling up and saying hey is the boat for sale and me telling them , I am going to restore it someday like I or you have never have heard that....now I Have had 623 e-mails or messages as of 1-24-10 according to gmail telling me to go here, go there, post here, join here and phone calls from Seattle Washington.. comments from let me know more, send more pictures Just throw a V 8 in it .. too we will come get it from a guy in Maine for the most part people have been nice, some not but mostly good intentions .. Next having a clue to what it is will go a long way maybe it had twin drives or v 12 or rotary Lincoln . These are things to consider in a rebuild COST.. if I can not afford it let someone else have it I have nick named it the Buck Rogers and has been suggest to call it Wilma Deering.. Do to the look of it and being more than likely from the 50s-60s the cold war atomic era Thank You for any help you can give me..
