lol, heck jerry i took after my dad,i over build everything,i figure its best to build it to outlast me,that way my wifes next husband dosent have to work on the house.lol, heres under my deck, its all steel beams, its been up 11 years,i also used trex decking,so far no problems, lol,
also there will be a room on half of the porch im building and a roof over the whole thing.we just finished the steel decking and rebar and forms,we pour concrete on saturday. welderface.gif

jerry if you thought that was overkill, lol check this out,we had to use a telebelt concrete conveyer truck, its the 1st time i ever saw one,we couldnt get a regular concrete truck close enough, but it feeds the conveyer truck.
it extends to 110 feet, but they also have one that goes out to 130 feet.
i had to do this because ive had 3 heart attacks that damaged the left side of my heart, and also have emphysema.
im not in shape to wheel barrow it,lol, now i can get back to working on the sunray,we are taking it to silver lake ny, classic boat meet june 5th,everyone is welcome to come

ron im sure ill get some hairline cracks somewhere, but i had them put fiberglass in the mix to help with that,i used it in my basement floor and so far so good 11 years later, but its not in the sun and weather like the porch is,im hoping to have the room and roof on it in the fall.
when we poured the sidewalk we poured it in one pour but edged it across every 4 feet,it should crack there.
by the way im finaly getting some work done on the sunray today, mostly some minor body work and sanding, woooooooooo hooooooo, yeah right, lol

lol, ron,im putting the room to the left of the big window, where the door is,everything from there over to right is a porch, all of which will be covered by a roof, when i can afford it,i spent all our money on the conveyer truck, lol dancing.gif by the way my apoligies to everyone,my post became non boat releated ,sorry for that, john
