Here's your chance to own an extremely rare and desirable piece of classic fiberglass boat history. Check out the Falls Flyers in our gallery (including this one). Mine needs total restoration including new gel coat. It has, as far as I can tell, a very unusual color option of desert sand and red. It has a 650 Merc dockbuster (which I never tried to start but I did oil down the cylinders when I put it in storage) with Quicksilver controls, said to be a motor that came on a Falls Flyer originally and was never on another boat. I can't verify that, but I did buy it off a '59 Falls Flyer in Canada. There is also a second power head and a bucket of Merc parts including a second bronze prop. I have all the deck hardware in excellent condition because I picked up NOS pieces over the years anticipating the restoration. I also cast new glo-pole top lenses, a new dash and new tail light lenses (all detailed on this site). I have thus far cast one new tail light bezel and still need to cast the other one, which I will do for the buyer. It has an Atwood wheel in decent condition, I believe the correct one with the right angle for the dash in this boat. It comes with a Holesclaw trailer with original cast aluminum wheels (and a spare!), which I had registered as a '61, but not really sure of the actually date of manufacture. Boat and trailer will come with bills of sale as titles weren't required in CT when I had them registered there.
I'm not setting a price but have seen restored Falls Flyers offered at $20,000. This one will go for a good offer. I'm not trying to get rich off it, jut want to see it go to a good home. I gave Brad first dibs but the cost of transporting it from MA to MN was more than he wanted to get into.
So now it's available to the first good offer. Let me know. Boat is stored in Westerly, RI.
